Is the hair included?

No. The price listed on each service is the service fee. We offer the option of providing the hair for an additional fee indicated on the scheduling page. You also have the option of providing your own hair.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. We work by appointments only.

Can I be added to your waitlist?

Yes, but first have you checked out naturallooks.com? Natural Looks has many braiders on staff and therefor more availability. All braiders have's been vetted and trained with Amaka's Daughter and uphold the same company values that we do. They come highly recommended. If you don't mind waiting you can be placed on Amaka's Daughter waitlist. Please TEXT your name, desired style and preferred day(s) to 832-762-5600 to be added to our waitlist.

I have alopecia/severe thinning. What kind of braids can I get?

We do not recommend braids/twists or any type of attachment for those with alopecia or severe thinning as this may worsen your hair condition. Please inquire with us prior to scheduling an appointment if you have concerns about this as we may cancel your appointment if you book, show up the day of and we are not able to do your hair. What Hair do you Prefer:

We offer the option of purchasing the hair from us (prices vary and are listed in the scheduling page of each service). When you purchase the hair from us it gives us the option of prepping the hair beforehand saving up to 1-2 hrs of chair time. It also provides the added convenience of skipping a trip to the beauty supply store.
